How do I get my eLearning course assignments in Eagle Calendar?

You can create a special Eagle Calendar that shows all scheduled assignments and events from your eLearning courses.  To create the special calendar:

  1. Log in to eLearning. To the right you will see a mini calendar. Click on the link for the current month and year (e.g. "September 2009") to access the full calendar page.
  2. Below the large month calendar, you will see a orange icon that reads "iCal".  Right click on the iCal and choose "Copy Link Location" or "Copy Shortcut" depending on your web browser.
  3. Go to your Eagle Calendar. To the left, under "Other calendars", click "Add" then "Add by URL".  Paste the link you copied in step 2 into the URL location, it should look something like "https://elearning.pbu.edu/calendar/export_execute.php...."  Hit "Add Calendar".
  4. The Calendar will now show up under "Other Calendars" with a name like "https://elearning.pb..." Click the arrow to the right of it and choose "Calendar Settings".
  5. Give the calendar a meaningful name like "eLearning Schedule".
  6. Click the Notifications tab in order to set reminders for events coming up in your eLearning calendar.

Important: If your professor does not create a due date for an assignment, it will not show up in your eLearning calendar.  You are responsible for all course assignments whether they are entered in eLearning or not.
